OR
Take Harrison Ave., (an east-west street) east toward Belvidere.  Depending upon where you turn onto Harrison, you will pass the north-south street intersections of Alpine, Mulford, and Perryville.  When you proceed east past Perryville, on the south side of the Cherry Vale Mall, you will drive under the I 39/90 overpass.*
*Shortly after that is the intersection of Harrison and Mill Road where there is a prominent stoplight.  (The Cherry Valley Cemetery is on the left.)  Turn right or south on Mill and proceed for 1 block to the entrance of the village.  At the stop sign, turn left or east on E. State Street and cross the Kishwaukee River.  You come into the commercial district of the Village of Cherry Valley.  Drive another 4 ½ blocks, through the downtown area, past the Cherry Valley Elementary School until the street curves a little past Ender’s Greenhouse.  The library is on the right back in the woods, marked by a prominent sign.

FROM THE SOUTH:

From any of the east-west main roads (Rotary, Blomberg, Blackhawk,) travel until you reach Perryville Road.  Travel north on Perryville until you cross the railroad tracks and intersect with Mill Road.  Turn right or east and travel northeast to the stop sign just past a 2nd set of railroad tracks.  At the stop sign, turn right or east on E.

FROM THE EAST:

OR
If you are close to U.S. Rt. 20, turn onto it and proceed west.  As you see the Cherry Valley water tower in the distance and pass a green library sign, get into the left lane, slow down, and turn left at the sign that says, “Cherry Valley Village.”  Pass the orchard on the left and the new, large village hall on the right. As you curve down the hill, the library will be on your left in the woods, marked by a prominent sign.
OR
From any of the north-south or east-west roads in southwest Boone Co. (Flora Church, Bloods Point, Poole, Bates, Wheeler, Irene, or Town Hall), get to the Cherry Valley Road and proceed northwest until you reach the village limits. You will pass two right hand entrances to a newer subdivision.  The next street will be Lawrence Street (no stop sign). Turn right and proceed  two blocks until you come to a stop sign and the Cherry Valley Elementary School is on your left.  Turn right onto State Street and proceed until the street curves a little past Ender’s Greenhouse.  The library is on the right, back in the woods, marked by a prominent sign.
